Projects / Atlas

Atlas.

An easier way to run a lot of agents at once. A Python and FastAPI backend, a native SwiftUI Mac app, and everything staying on my own machine.

Atlas started with a specific annoyance. Running one agent is easy. Running several, watching what they are doing, and stopping the one that has gone wrong means five windows, five keys and no overview.

What it is for. One place to start agents, watch them work, and stop them. Simple enough that the interesting part is the work, not the wiring.

How it is built. A FastAPI service handles the runs and the tool calls. A SwiftUI app on macOS is the interface, so it behaves like a Mac app rather than a web page in a wrapper.

Where the data goes. Nowhere. The agents read my files and run on my machine, against my own API keys.

What is still rough. Setup is mine alone, and the agents need clearer limits before anyone else should run them. Atlas gets its own site, with a proper walkthrough, once that is true.

I write these up as I go.

The interesting parts end up on the blog, and the email goes out when something real ships.
